We’ve been busy preparing the ground for tree planting at Loskin Wood. To give each tree the best possible start, every one gets its own carefully prepared planting spot. In forestry, this is called a mound, an area of soil cleared of competition so young trees can access water, nutrients and light while they establish. At Loskin Wood, we’re using inverted mounds.
