It’s tradition that during the week before finals in the fall semester, students in Andrew Wolfe and Ray Burynski’s Introduction to Engineering (ESC 110) course compete in a Treasure Island competition. The approximately 60 civil and mechanical engineering students enrolled in the course break up into teams to build their own unique machines and then compete in head-to-head matchups to see which team can use their machines to get as many balls into a hole on a 2'x4' playing surface, as possible.
