Troy house fire triggers major emergency response involving Troy, Maryville, O’Fallon firefighters, and medical evacuation to St. Louis.

Emergency personnel responded to a reported fire and explosion in Bridgeport Tuesday night.

A house was destroyed and another was significantly damaged in a possible explosion in Godfrey, Illinois, with no injuries reported and the cause of the explosion still under investigation.

A fire destroyed a Jeannette garage and damaged the rear of the attached vacant house Monday afternoon. A small heater exploded while a contractor was working in the garage, Jeannette fire officials said.
